This past year has been full of changes for Dale and I as we prepared our home of 25 years to be sale ready. This required a lot of landscaping during the summer of 2012 and then painting and remodeling to the inside of the home during the Fall. Specifically the kitchen. By Thanksgiving we were finally ready and made the plunge by telling our Realtor to list it. Within a week we had three offers and we accepted the offer made by a young couple with a little baby. Our hearts were tender as we boxed up all of our possessions. Our thoughts were of all the wonderful memories we have had raising our family in this home. Since we did not have a home to move into, we put our things into three storage units and moved into my parents basement. How grateful we were that they offered their home to their homeless kids. This took place during the middle of January 2013. My Dad, a week before this was in the hospital and ended up having a stroke and surgery replacing his pacemaker. This was a scary time for my family and all of my siblings flew into town to support Mom and Dad and to help Dale and I as we were still looking for a home to buy. We did find a home in Saratoga Springs towards the end of January and we were able to move in during the coldest and snowiest days of the winter (February 20-21). Since then we have been working hard fixing up our new home and keeping up with our ever growing family. How grateful we are for the support and help all of our kids have given us during this time. They were there when we needed them and worked so hard to help us make this change. Now we are enjoying our new "Gathering Place" for our family and hope to make many more happy memories within it's walls. Since I neglected my blog for the past year I am going to try and catch up. So here are some of the events from last summer till now:

THE FUNERAL OF DALE'S FATHER: FRED HEGERHORST

The grandkids each giving Oma a hug.

His grave is located in Bountiful down from the Temple
