Grandma did not have the right candles so we made do with a big red one. That was due to our packing up the kitchen so we could get the home ready to show. Happy Birthday our sweet Lily. Next year is the big "8".
For years our tradition has been to take the kids to dinner and then go see the lights at Temple Square. We have eaten at several places over the years (Spaghetti Factory, McDonalds, and the Mandarin). But as our family has increased we decided it was not safe to try and see the lights as a family. We almost lost our James the year before. So to modify yet accomplish the same thing, this year we had a dinner at our home then took the kids on a trolley around the Thanksgiving Point lights. It turned out to be fun and safe. So I think we will do the same thing this year.
