Fun visit at Julie's new house 12/12

Kellie and I discovered today that Julie is almost exactly halfway between our homes. Since McKay was busy all day with preparing for finals Kellie decided to have an adventure by bringing the kids to Julie's by herself. I was happy to jump in the car and join them. Julie and Dan have found themselves a very nice situation with a house they can grow into and good neighbors.

Festival of Trees 12/3/11

For the past 10 years or so Dale and I have gone to the Festival of Trees. We are always amazed at the sacrifice that goes into each tree and the stories that motivate this sacrifice. This is a very worthy event to support.

This year we met up with Dan, Julie, Levi and Zack. Julie made the cute reindeer hats!

Since "Up" is one of my favorite movies, I loved this tree.

Hegerhorst Thanksgiving 2011

This year Dale and I were able to have all of our kids and grandkids around us during this Thanksgiving holiday which we know is such a blessing. Since our numbers our growing (we are now at 19) we scheduled the Stake Center for our dinner which worked out really well. Jeni brought a bounce house which the kids loved and of course the boys played basketball while the girls sat around and gabbed.

During the rest of the 3 days we did many different activities but most of the time we just enjoyed being together. Below are some pictures of what we did. I just have to express my gratitude for my children, for their willingness to create these fun experiences that bind our family together.

Thanksgiving is now over so we have changed from turkey hats to reindeer hats to start the Christmas season.

Trip to Midway with Mom and Dad, Gateway with the girls and Grandkids

November 16th

An afternoon at the Discovery Gateway. It is full of so many fun activities. The kids just have a ball. We missed having Kellie and the kids with us. Little Mack is three weeks old now and doing so well.

On November 9th Dad, Mom and I took advantage of the beautiful fall weather and drove to Midway. We went to a cheese factory located there and purchased some very tasty cheese. Then we had lunch at the Zermott Resort.

We waited for almost an hour for our turn but the kids still had smiles on their faces (except for the two Moms squished in their little cars)

The Heritage Center in Logan

Krista and I drove up to Logan and met Julie and Kellies' families at this fun place. We were hoping to walk Kellie into labor but she held on for three more days. The kids loved the goats and the train ride. The horse ride was fun for Zack and Levi but not so much for Emmery.

Emme was fine as long as Daddy was between her and the horse.

Mack Thomas Johnson was born on October 25th and I was able to spend nine days playing Grandma in Logan. This is one of the best parts of being a Grandma.

Jeni and Miles came up after Kellie came home from the hospital and took a bunch of pictures of Baby Mack.

Emme was my little buddy and we had so much fun going on walks, playing games, reading stories, watching Pooh and Elmo and taking care of her Mom. It was hard to say goodby and come home. Miles had fun playing with his cousin.
